Inconsistent Use of Data

Its aggravating when policy makers use data to support one set of policies but then inconsistently fail to use the same standard for other issues.  If emergency room visits is going to be the standard then be consistent about it.
The nation's drug warriors plow ahead, driven by fear of a world where addicts clog the gutters.

"the Obama administration notes that in 2009, marijuana was "involved in" 376,000 emergency-room visits nationwide. Be afraid, be very afraid: This represents less than 0.3 of 1 percent of all ER visits, and 3.3 million fewer visits than are caused annually by recreational sports."
